This is the first time I have heard this….. during the spring and summer when it is light late I walk thru the park and back along the bike trail making about a 2-3 mile loop several times a week. It is my main exercise. It is also how I get to the voting location. I also wonder about kids who walk to school… they now have to go completely around to get to school?

There was obviously a well-worn path from La Salle to the park so it was well-used all year. How about a paved/hard dirt/gravel official pathway that is fenced on both sides to keep walkers strictly on the path? Then they could have a gate to the school to open for kids to have access as needed, or for weekend/holiday neighborhood use of the courts. If they didn’t want to have a separate small patch to still mow, put the path at the edge of the grounds but still off LaSalle.
